POST-‐DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW IN EARLY SCHOOLING CONTEXTS (.PDF)

(http://thesanfordschool.asu.edu), the Kindergarten Project
(http://kindergartenproject.org) invites applications for a 12-month Post-Doctoral Research Fellow starting August 15, 2013 (for a two-year appointment). For this position, successful candidates must have a PhD or equivalent in child development, psychology, education, or related field by time of appointment. This position entails working on ongoing multi-disciplinary projects related to teacher development, students' early school relationships with teachers and classmates, early school environments, and their short- and long-term effects. Responsibilities include managing ongoing data collection efforts, supervising related research activities, managing and analyzing existing cross-sectional and longitudinal data sets focused on the antecedents and outcomes associated with teacher development and classroom contexts, helping with project development and organization, and writing collaborative manuscripts and grants. The successful candidate must have evidence of expertise in children's early schooling contexts. Candidates also must have strong quantitative skills. Experience working with and analyzing large longitudinal data sets is preferred.
